Episode 2: Beer for Christmas

In this week's show, Doug and I talk about getting into homebrewing as hobby as well as about the upcoming brewing event. As we go forward, this podcast will be geared toward the midlevel and higher level homebrewers, people who have been brewing with for a year or more. But we also want to encourage people to take up the hobby and that's what this show mostly covers. Doug and I discuss how much it costs to get in on the ground floor of homebrewing, some of the more common pitfalls and, most importantly, how long it takes to get a handle on making your own beer.

In beer news, we talk about Dogfish Head's big move and what homebrewers likely will bring to the table over the next 18 months as the craft beer industry expects to double sales.
